Pirate Threat (Open)

Link could tell Dentor was the restless, wandering type. He watched as Dentor began to set sail, looking back at Link. Dentor said that if he was needed again, he would come, and Link simply nodded. After Dentor had gone out of sight, Link turned around. He wondered where the other two strangers who had helped on the shore battle were, who they were and where they had come from. He began walking back to the village.

[Augen]

Augen had also headed to the village. The heat on the shore seemed to have died down, so he didn't have much reason to stick around... Around the shore, at least. He had plenty of reasons to stay on this island, one of the big ones being that he currently lacked a way off. So he sat by a fence in the village, looking curiously at the largest pig he had ever seen.

[Vanyr]

Vanyr had stood looking off to sea when Link had run off to thank the Hylian in the boat. Vanyr would have gone, too, but by the time he noticed the boy and already shoved off and headed out to sea. Vanyr decided that if they ever met again he would thank him, which was more likely for Vanyr; he flew around the Sea commonly in search of adventure and ways to aid the Hylian Kingdom.

While Vanyr would normally stay for dinner, he decided he better move on. He glanced around, and seeing once more that his help was no longer required, he ran two steps forward and then leaped upwards, spreading his wings and flapping hard. He ascended quickly, and after a short while he began effortlessly gliding above Outset. He decided that he would head for Windfall Island, which was sure to have some form of adventure in store for him; it was the central marketplace of the Great Sea. He turned appropriately, and taking one last look at Outset, began flying smoothly and quickly North.

The villagers were making great progress on repairing the houses of Outset. Patching canon ball holes in the roofs sure was hot and hard work though; Link was currently cooling off in the shade before beginning his next job. As he was watching the activity all around him, he noticed someone he had never seen before by Link the pig. He headed up the hill towards him.

"Hey. I don't believe we've met; I saw you today and wanted to thank you for helping us in the battle. My name's Link, and so is his," Link said, smiling as he gestured towards the pig. "Who are you?"

[Augen]

Augen heard the hero's voice and turned. "Hmm? Oh, yes... No need to thank me, kind sir. I was just doing what I thought was right," he said, standing up and looking at the young warrior. "Oh... How rude of me not to introduce myself. I am Augen, the hitch-hiker. It is a pleasure to meet you, Link," Augen said, bowing politely.

[Xuku]

"Pleasure to meet you, too. How long are you going to be staying on Outset?" Link responded. Link noted how Augen had mentioned he was a hitch-hiker, and would be more than happy to give Augen a boat ride if he needed one.

[Augen]

Augen grinned slightly as he responded. "I dunno... However long. Good and evil lay everywhere, so until one force exerts power over another I see no reason to mind my location... Uh, unless that is, there is any reason I should mind my location. I would not wish to intrude on anybody's affairs," Augen said, curiously.

[Xuku]

"Oh no, of course you're not intruding. You are welcome here. You may stay as long as you like." Link glanced back down at the village. "Maybe it is time that I go back to work on the village... I guess I'll see you around." Link turned and started back down the hill to the village.

[Augen]

"Ah, yes. I guess I'll seeya then," Augen said before turning and looking back at the pig. "Hmmm... Wonder if that's the same kid... Yeah, it's gotta be," he muttered to himself.

After a several minutes Augen stood back up and looked down at the village. Maybe he should give it a look as well, or so he thought. There might be something worth his (or somebody else's) time down there. So, he began walking that way.
